First Community Bank has announced that Kasey Cowger has joined the bank as a mortgage originator for the organization’s home lending division. In his role, he will educate, advise, and guide potential borrowers through the loan application and refinancing processes.

Cowger stated, “Coretta Scott King said, ‘The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.’ That is why I am excited to be joining the First Community Bank family. I have always admired how passionate and intentional they are in the communities they serve, and I cannot wait to be a part of it.”

Cowger earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Missouri State University. He has 20 years of experience in the banking industry and has been a mortgage lender for the past 13 years. He is currently serving his second term with the Carl Junction school board and is an active member of his community. He and his wife, Lesley, have four children: Gavin (15), Mason (13), Ian, (10), and Elliana (7).  In his free time, he is very involved with his children’s sports activities and helps coach their traveling soccer team.

“We are pleased to have Kasey join our team,” said Amy Tuggle, senior vice president, secondary mortgage production manager. “Our customers will benefit not only from his vast experience as a mortgage lender, but also from his commitment to provide them with an excellent customer experience as well.”

Plans are underway for First Community Bank to open its first full-service banking location in Joplin, Missouri at 1710 East 32nd Street. The location will be undergoing construction and is expected to be open in early fall 2022, at which time Cowger will move from our full-service banking location at 3005 Garner Edgewood Drive in Neosho to the Joplin location.
