FIRST COMMUNITY BANK WELCOMES COMMERCIAL LENDING TEAM

First Community Bank welcomes experienced bankers, Donald Boone and Gayla Calhoun, to the commercial lending team in Cabot. They will be located at the First Community Bank branch at 11 Prospect Court.


Boone has been hired as vice president, commercial lending for the Cabot region. With fifteen years of lending experience, he will be responsible for producing a variety of commercial loans as well as generating and managing a portfolio of business relationships.


“I am very excited to be working for a local community-based bank with a strong reputation,” said Boone. “It’s truly an honor to work for an organization that cares for the communities where it operates and holds itself to high standards.” 


Boone is an active member in his community and recently served as the past chairman of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Stacey, have two daughters, Ryann (9) and Kendall (7). 


Calhoun has been hired as loan support assistant for the Cabot region. She has been in banking for twenty five years and has served as a loan assistant for sixteen years. In her new role, Calhoun will focus on servicing of the bank’s loan portfolio, as well as related customer support activities.


Calhoun often volunteers her time to the Cabot High School athletics program by helping organize fundraisers and tournaments. She and her husband, Scott, have two sons, Austin (20) and Dustin (18).


Calhoun said, “I am happy to join First Community Bank and work with their impressive team of banking professionals.”
