First Community Bank is pleased to announce the groundbreaking and addition of their operations center at 1401 Harrison Street, beside the financial institution’s main bank. A ceremony to commemorate the occasion will be held on December 4, 2019, at 11 am. A reception and refreshments will immediately follow the ceremony in the George Rider Community Room inside the main bank.

“First Community Bank has been enjoying rapid, profitable growth for many years. This is reflected in our growing workforce, and in recent years, our headquarters has become too small for our nearly 200 employees. We are now creating the necessary space in a modern headquarters that will be a positive addition to Batesville,” said Dale Cole, chairman and CEO of First Community Bank. “We are thrilled to break ground on this new state-of-the art space.”

Flynco, Inc., of Little Rock, has been selected as the contractor for the project. The three-story operations center will be approximately 28,809 sq. ft. and will be connected to the main bank by a sky bridge over 14th Street. The first development phase of the building complex is expected to be completed by the end of 2020 to provide space for 125 employees.  Future plans include further expansion of the facility to house additional employees.
