First Community Bank is pleased to welcome Kris Boyd as trust and wealth management officer, serving customers throughout Central Arkansas.
In his role, Boyd will act as a fiduciary responsible for managing, administering, and protecting assets held in trust for beneficiaries in accordance with legal documents. He will provide guidance on estate and trust matters, oversee investment management, ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, and maintain ongoing communication with clients and their families.
Boyd brings 24 years of experience as an attorney, offering extensive knowledge in legal matters related to trusts, estates, and fiduciary responsibilities. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University and has spent much of his career working with individuals and families on complex legal and financial matters.
“I have worked with First Community Bank on a variety of matters for years now,” said Boyd. “I’ve always admired how the bank truly places its customers and the community first. I could not be more excited to officially join the team.”
Brandon Brewer, senior vice president, trust and wealth management director, said Boyd’s experience and commitment to serving others will be a strong asset to the bank’s trust services team.
“Kris brings decades of legal expertise and a deep understanding of fiduciary responsibility that will greatly benefit our customers,” Brewer said. “His passion for helping families plan for the future aligns perfectly with First Community Bank’s mission to serve our communities with integrity and care.”
Outside of his professional work, Boyd is actively involved in several charitable and nonprofit organizations. He serves on the board for the Collegiate Tennis Challenge, a fundraising event supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. He also serves on the board for Justin Moore’s Celebrity Golf Tournament, which raises funds for St. Jude.
In addition, Boyd leads Arkansas Prep Sports and Big Miller Events, nonprofit organizations that help connect high school student-athletes with opportunities to earn college scholarships.
Boyd and his wife, Jennifer, have three daughters: Korinah, Sophia, and Amelia. In his spare time, he enjoys helping high school student-athletes pursue their dreams of becoming collegiate athletes.
