First Community Bank announced today that a relief plan, Community Comes First Assistance Program, has been put into motion to reduce financial stress, while giving customers more resources to care for their employees and families.

“Amid the developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19), First Community Bank’s commitment to its customers, team members and the communities in which we live and work is steadfast,” said Dale Cole, chairman and CEO of First Community Bank. “We recognize the effects of this virus extend far beyond the health impact; the economic impact to our families and business community is an area where we can extend a helping hand. First Community Bank has developed a deferral relief program to assist our consumer and commercial loan customers whose finances have been impacted by these unforeseen circumstances.”

90 Day Loan Deferral Program

Customers who have been directly impacted financially by the COVID-19 virus are eligible for payment deferrals up to 90 days. During this time interest will accrue, but customers will not be charged late fees. To start the process, please call toll-free 1-888-780-8391 and ask to speak to your lender.

Assistance Lines of Credit

Customers who are experiencing interruption of income due to the COVID-19 virus are eligible to apply for Assistance Lines of Credit to meet cash flow needs. To start the process, please contact your lender. This program is subject to credit approval.

“We are open for business. However, to protect our customers and team members, our lobbies are temporarily closed,” said Boris Dover, president & COO. “We are still here working hard to serve your banking needs. We will maintain drive-thru access and encourage the utilization of our electronic banking products and network of ATMs.”

Additional measures are also being taken to disinfect high-touch surface areas such as ATM screens, drive-thru tubes, counters, entrances, etc.
Cole further stated, “Our goal is to stand with our customers and our communities to help them get back on their feet. First Community Bank will be there for our communities in the days, weeks, and months to come as our neighborhoods and communities pull together, recover and rise above these adversities.”
