Learn more about “Discover Croatia, Slovenia and the Adriatic Coast,” a premier tour to be hosted on October 10-21, 2026, by the Adventure First Travel Club of First Community Bank.
A preview presentation about this amazing 12-day tour will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 21, in the George Rider Community Room of the First Community Main Bank at 1325 Harrison Street in Batesville (the corner of St. Louis and Harrison Streets).
Travelers also can extend their vacation with a two-night pre-tour extension in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, which is one of Europe’s most exciting cities.
First Community Bank invites you to join this tour to dive into beauty and history as you explore the medieval cities, tranquil lakes, stunning coastlines and quaint villages of Croatia and Slovenia.
Croatia boasts stunning Adriatic beaches, ancient walled cities like Dubrovnik, and a vibrant island scene. Slovenia features breathtaking natural beauty with the Alps, picturesque lakes like Bled, and charming towns. The Adriatic Coast itself provides stunning coastal scenery, ancient architecture, and a unique cultural mix of influences.
The October tour dates were selected because experts consider the fall to be a prime time to visit Central and Southeast Europe. In autumn, temperatures start to go down, just like the crowds. The sea is still warm, the foliage begins to turn, and some of the finest seasonal products such as olive oil are ready to be tasted. October is also the best time to visit Plitvice Lakes region as the crowds are smaller and nature’s colors are incredible.
