First Community Bank recently hosted the 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches, on October 13 in Batesville, Arkansas, at the Course at Eagle Mountain. This year’s tournament proceeds were $27,186, and more than $346,812 has been raised for the ranch as a result of First Community Bank’s charity tournaments.

“We are so fortunate to have this generous support from First Community Bank,” said Matthew Cleveland, Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches chief development officer. “It's especially rewarding to know that the tournament proceeds and donations will directly impact the lives of children at the ranches with a safe place to call home so we can help them grow into outstanding members of the community. Your support and the support of all of the tournament sponsors through the years has been outstanding, and we cannot thank you enough.”

The tournament drew participation from 88 golfers that played and 51 businesses that purchased hole sponsorships and made corporate donations. Intimidator provided lunch for the players, and Bad Boy Mowers sponsored the putting contest.

“When First Community Bank was founded we made a pledge to put community first in every decision we make,” said Boris Dover, president and chief operating officer for First Community Bank. “We are proud to support the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches, and with the help of our dedicated community partners, we have hosted another successful tournament. Our sponsors’ generous contributions made this event possible and helped the tournament break another record.”
