FIRST COMMUNITY BANK NAMES PUCKETT AS NEW COMMUNITY PRESIDENT

First Community Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Puckett as the new community president for the Missouri region. Puckett has over 33 years of experience in banking and within the financial industry. He has been an integral part of First Community Bank since 2017, most recently serving as senior vice president, senior regional lender. 

Puckett, a lifelong resident of Neosho, Missouri, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community service. He previously served on the board of Directors, and was President of the Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce.  He has served on various non-profit boards, including Children’s Haven and The Community Clinic.  Puckett is serving his ninth year on the Neosho school board including two years as President.  He is a longtime member of the Neosho Rotary Club. This involvement showcases his dedication to the local community.

Puckett's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis on finance and economics from the University of Missouri. He successfully completed the Stonier Graduate School of Banking from the American Bankers Association in 2006. He is a 2012 graduate of Banking Leadership Missouri, and a previous committee member of the Missouri Bankers Association. His extensive experience in banking positions make him as an ideal leader for First Community Bank’s Missouri markets.

John Sarratt, a long-term supporter of First Community Bank, former board of director’s member, and current business board member in Missouri, served as interim community president during this transitional period following the untimely passing of Will Cook.

Puckett stated, “I am honored to take on this new role and will continue working with our dedicated team of professional community bankers in Missouri. I look forward to building on the strong foundation laid by Will Cook and to furthering our mission of providing exceptional service to our customers and community.”

Puckett is located in the organizations downtown branch at 111 E. Main Street in Neosho. The bank’s downtown Neosho lobby and drive-thru are both open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. In addition to the downtown Neosho location, First Community Bank has branch locations at 3005 Gardner Edgewood Drive in Neosho; 1710 East 32nd Street in Joplin; 21196 US 71 in Jane; and 110 E. Main Street in Goodman.
