First Community Bank will host a ground breaking ceremony at the site of its new Little Rock banking center at the southeast corner of Chenal Parkway and Rahling Road on March 19, 2021, at 11 a.m.

“Breaking ground on this new banking facility signifies our commitment to, and investment in, the future of this community,” said Dale Cole, chairman and CEO of First Community Bank. “The financial center will create a significant presence in Little Rock and will provide our third location in the greater Little Rock area for clients to conduct business and interact with experienced community bankers.”

Flynco, Inc., of Little Rock, has been selected as the contractor for the project. Construction has officially begun on the full-service banking facility, with the goal of completing the building project in the first quarter of 2022.

Tim Yelvington with RPPY Architects designed the approximately 16,000 square-foot, two-story complex. The modern lobby will offer both private and semi-private areas that are conducive to informal business meetings, easily accessible teller stations, indoor ATM access, and a gourmet coffee bar. Another highlight is a spacious community room that will be provided free of charge to non-profit organizations and the business community for meeting and training purposes. The room can also be rented for a nominal fee for personal events or gatherings.

The branch will include several unique features including charging stations for electric cars, bike rack and workstation, glass recycling container, interior living green feature wall and easy access to nearby walking/biking trails.

“In the new banking center we will offer more resources and greater convenience for our customers,” said Renè Julian, community president in Little Rock. “This is an exciting time in the continued growth of First Community Bank, and we are looking forward to furthering our customer relationships with the personal care that only a community bank can offer.”

The new one-stop financial center will include traditional banking services as well as secondary mortgage home loans, insurance, brokerage, and trust services.

In addition to Pulaski County, the bank also has locations in Faulkner, Lonoke, Baxter, Craighead, Independence, Jackson, Sharp, Poinsett, Boone and White counties, as well as McDonald and Newton counties in Southwest Missouri.

First Community Bank currently operates branches in Little Rock at 4900 Kavanaugh Blvd. and 8201 Ranch Blvd, Ste. B-4. The bank continues to expand its footprint in Central Arkansas. They recently announced a property purchase at the corner of Harkrider and Polk Streets in historic downtown Conway for a future branch location.

First Community Bank was recently chosen as Arkansas’ Best Bank by Forbes for its 2020 Best-In-State Banks and Credit Unions list. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry-ranking provider.
