First Community Bank will host a grand opening celebration at 8101 Highway 49 in Brookland on Wednesday, March 2, with a ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 10:30 a.m.
“I have a special interest in this community, and we are so proud to be a part of it,” said Jamie Whitehead, the bank’s assistant vice president, branch manager and lender for Brookland. “We’ve watched the area as it continues to grow, and we feel like it is an ideal place to expand our footprint in the region.”
Immediately following the ribbon cutting, a catfish and chicken strip lunch will be provided. While supplies last, First Community Bank will give away various door prizes. The public is warmly invited to attend and celebrate.

With this new opportunity, our officers and staff plan to continue our legacy in providing quality service to this community.”
Artwork from several local artists have been selected for the interior décor of the bank. Artists include: Allison Smith, Andrea Alpe, Jennifer Wooldridge, Carrie Hatton, Jared Vaughn, and Dexter Jones.
In addition to the new Brookland location, First Community Bank has locations at 1617 S. Caraway Road, 630 Southwest Drive, and 222 E. Washington Avenue in Jonesboro, as well as, 306 Elder Street in Bay and 202 Greenwood Avenue in Lepanto.
The Brookland location opened on December 13, 2021, and is a one-stop financial center offering a variety of financial services to its customers. The bank’s lobby and drive-thru are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. First Community Bank offers competitive loan and deposit products and an impressive array of online and mobile banking services. Some of these include mobile banking and deposits, online bill pay, online/mobile account opening and custom eAlerts.
