First Community Bank is proud to have recently welcomed Leslie Abram to its team as business development officer in Neosho.

In her role, Abram coordinates sponsorship and donation requests received by the Missouri branches, including many of the community events the bank supports. She also leads internal communication efforts, including the production of the monthly Missouri newsletter and managing a variety of special projects.

“I’m so impressed by the true family feel of working at First Community Bank,” said Abram. “I’ve felt welcome from before day one, and it’s wonderful to see how much our employees care about each other and our communities.”

Abram brings extensive experience in communication and workforce development to her new role. She holds a certificate in human resources, a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and a master’s degree in communication. She is also a certified workforce development professional.

Although new to the banking industry, Abram is a seasoned professional with a strong background in community engagement. Since 2012, she has been an active member of Toastmasters International, a global organization that helps individuals develop public speaking and leadership skills. She has earned the designation of Distinguished Toastmaster, the highest education level an individual Toastmaster can achieve. Abram currently belongs to three clubs, including one advanced club, and serves as the club growth director for District 22, which covers all of Kansas and western Missouri.

“Leslie’s communication expertise and passion for helping others make her an excellent addition to our team,” said Stuart Puckett, community president for Missouri at First Community Bank. “She brings enthusiasm, professionalism, and a true heart for community involvement that aligns perfectly with our values.”

Abram has two children, Annie and Grant. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. She also continues to find fulfillment through Toastmasters by presenting, training, and mentoring others as they grow their skills.

Abram is based at the bank’s Neosho Main location at 3005 Garner Edgewood Dr., but First Community Bank proudly serves the entire Neosho area through both of its full-service branches: the Neosho Main branch, with lobby hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon; and the downtown Neosho branch at 111 E. Main St., with both lobby and drive-through hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
