First Community Bank has announced that Jimmy Farley has joined the bank as vice president commercial lender for the Jonesboro region and will work out of the Southwest Drive location. With fifteen years of lending experience, he will be responsible for producing a variety of commercial loans as well as generating and managing a portfolio of business relationships.

“The family within First Community Bank has made me feel so welcome. Their positive attitudes are contagious, and everybody has gone out of their way to help however needed,” said Farley. “It’s nice to be around people that enjoy their jobs, and it feels good to be a part of a team that is well respected in our community. It’s easy to see why customers enjoy banking here, because it’s all about people helping people and it feels like one big family!”

Farley further stated, “I was born and raised right here in Jonesboro and have lived here my whole life. I’ve enjoyed watching this town grow to the size it is now, and somehow it keeps its small town feel where everybody knows everybody. Our community is something to be proud of, especially when we all gather together to support a cause or help people in need. First Community is right there in the middle of it all, and the family of employees is what attracted me to this bank. They are the perfect examples of community bankers and are a huge part of the continued growth of Jonesboro.”

Farley serves on the board of directors for the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas and the Jonesboro Baseball Boosters. He also serves as an ambassador for the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce and has been a longtime volunteer with United Way.

Farley is a graduate of Jonesboro High School, and he earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Arkansas State University. He and his wife, Megan, have two sons, Easton (7) and Judah (4).

“We are very pleased to welcome Jimmy to our commercial banking team,” said Allen Williams, market president, Jonesboro region. “Jimmy’s background as an experienced banker with a successful career in commercial lending and portfolio management, coupled with his extensive knowledge of the local market make him a perfect fit.”
