Tim Doyle, vice president, commercial lending, at First Community Bank, has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC) Alumni Association Scholarship.
Doyle, who is based in the bank’s Fayetteville office and serves the Northwest Arkansas market, was chosen for the competitive honor in recognition of his leadership potential and commitment to advancing the community banking industry. The scholarship is awarded by the GSBC Alumni Association and supports community bankers as they pursue advanced professional education through the nationally recognized program.
Each year, the GSBC Alumni Association awards scholarships to a select group of community bankers from across the country who demonstrate strong leadership potential and dedication to their institutions and communities. The scholarship assists with tuition expenses and must be used within the year it is awarded. Doyle will begin his coursework this summer as part of GSBC’s three-year program designed to strengthen leadership, financial expertise, and strategic decision-making within community banking.
“Tim has consistently demonstrated a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach in serving our customers,” said Natalie Bartholomew, community president for Northwest Arkansas at First Community Bank. “He understands the unique needs of businesses in this region and works diligently to provide sound guidance and dependable service. This scholarship is a reflection of the leadership qualities we see in him every day, and we are excited to see him continue to grow through this experience.”
Founded in 1950, the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado is widely regarded as one of the nation’s premier community banking schools. The program combines in-depth classroom instruction, case studies, and peer collaboration to equip banking professionals with advanced knowledge in financial management, leadership, lending, and regulatory strategy. Participants attend annual summer sessions in Boulder, Colorado, while completing intersession projects throughout the year.
Doyle said the opportunity represents both a professional milestone and a chance to further invest in the communities he serves.
“Being selected for this scholarship is a tremendous honor,” Doyle said. “Community banking plays a vital role in the success of local businesses, and I’m eager to deepen my understanding of the industry through GSBC’s program. I’m thankful for the encouragement of our leadership team and look forward to bringing new ideas and insights back to our customers in Northwest Arkansas.”
