First Community Bank is pleased to welcome John Householder to its leadership team as senior vice president, risk management. In his new role, Householder will monitor and mitigate potential risks that could impact the organization, while also contributing to the bank’s broader strategic and regulatory efforts.

Householder brings more than 28 years of experience in the banking industry, most recently with the Arkansas State Bank Department - First Community Bank’s chartering agency. Over the course of his career, he has overseen both community and regional bank supervision, including institutions engaged in the Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) ecosystem. His work has extended to national policy development through his participation in a joint agency task force under the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC).

“Joining the First Community Bank family has been both warm and welcoming - a comfort to know and be known by good people,” said Householder. “I’m proud to be part of a mission-driven team that genuinely prioritizes both customers and community.”

A longtime resident of Northeast Arkansas, Householder and his wife, Deana, have been married for 31 years and are the proud parents of two sons, Easton and Aaden. The couple recently became first-time grandparents with the birth of their granddaughter, Savvy.

Householder will maintain offices in both Batesville and Jonesboro and brings a strong background in community involvement. He serves as the board vice chairman of the Craighead County Solid Waste Management District and Authority, is active in student and college ministries at Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro and is a longtime supporter and participant in Susan G. Komen and St. Jude’s marathon fundraising events across the country. He and his wife, alumni of Williams Baptist University, are engaged supporters of the university’s mission. When not working, Householder enjoys running, hiking, and participating in historical and faith-based travel, including international mission trips.

“John’s extensive regulatory experience and commitment to community values make him an incredible asset to our team,” said Michelle Reesor, executive vice president, chief risk officer at First Community Bank. “His leadership and insight will help strengthen our institution and support our continued growth.”

Householder earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Williams Baptist College in 1995. He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colorado, and holds certifications as a certified fraud examiner and certified examinations manager.
