First Community Bank has announced members of the inaugural business board of directors for the financial institutions’ Northwest Arkansas market. 

“On behalf of First Community Bank, I am thrilled to welcome our new business board members who bring a wealth of experience in diverse areas of expertise as we expand our footprint into the Northwest Arkansas region,” said Natalie Bartholomew, community president for Northwest Arkansas of First Community Bank. “Each of their backgrounds and skillsets will help support our growth as a leading community bank.”

Business board members for the organization’s Northwest Arkansas market include the following: 

Ashley Harris is vice president of marketing and communications at Ozarks Electric Cooperative, where she currently oversees all aspects of communications and marketing for Ozarks Electric and OzarksGo, including print, digital and social media channels, and media relations. Prior to joining Ozarks Electric, Harris has worked with Mitchell Communication Group as a congressional liaison on Capitol Hill, and with the University of Arkansas in community outreach, student recruitment and alumni relations. She continues to be active in a number of organizations including the National Arkansas Alumni Association Board, Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation, Northwest Arkansas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce Board, Springdale Chamber of Commerce Board, 100 Women NWA, and she is a Junior League sustaining member.

Meredith Lowry is a patent attorney for Wright Lindsey Jennings whose practice principally involves various aspects of intellectual property related to retail and e-commerce, including intellectual property acquisition, data and privacy, manufacturing, marketing and distribution. She has assisted a variety of companies in their efforts to obtain patent, trademark and copyright protections and has also worked with clients to protect those assets through online and in store infringement. Since 2019, Lowry has spearheaded WLJ’s initiative Woman-Run, a group dedicated to creating a network for women running businesses.

Nathan Ogden is the owner and president of Pick-It Construction, a residential construction company based in Northwest Arkansas. His work in the commercial, subcontracting and multi-family division has enabled him to take on projects not only in his home state, but also in 15 others as well. Ogden grew up on a cattle farm in Hogeye, where he attended Prairie Grove High School. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Criminal Justice in 2001 and then started Pick-It Construction in 2002. Ogden is married to Tracy and has two daughters who attend Prairie Grove schools: Oaklie (11) and Huntlea (10). As a family, they own and operate Ogden Ranch which raises Angus based cattle and PBR bucking bulls.

Dr. Wesley Cox, Section Chief for UAMS Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Northwest Arkansas, is a Fayetteville native and Fayetteville High School alumnus. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at Auburn University. Dr. Cox is a team physician for the Arkansas Razorbacks and is an orthopaedic consultant for the LPGA tour. He has operated on current members of the MLB, NFL, PGA, LPGA, USTA, Bassmasters/FLW, and USA Track and Field. Dr. Cox holds 11 patents, and has developed products for shoulder and elbow bracing and surgical implants and published a book on little league baseball injuries. Additionally, he is a consultant, advisor, and instructor for multiple orthopaedic companies. He is a board-certified fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, and the Arkansas Orthopaedic Society and others.

The Rogers location at 5100 W. Park Ave., Ste. 124 opened on October 3, 2022, and is a one-stop financial center offering a variety of financial services to its customers. The bank’s lobby is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
