First Community Bank has announced that Shena Sims has been promoted to senior vice president, regional deposit & operation director for the financial institution. With an impressive banking career spanning 26 years, Sims has been an integral part of the First Community Bank family since 2014. In her new role, she will oversee regional deposit strategies and operations, further enhancing the bank’s commitment to providing exceptional financial services to our valued customers.

Sims’s leadership qualities and dedication have been evident throughout her time at First Community Bank. She has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of banking operations and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. Reporting to Allen Williams, market president for the Jonesboro region, Sims will continue to collaborate closely with the bank’s leadership to drive growth and innovation.

Sims earned her bachelor’s degree in speech communication with a minor in marketing from Arkansas State University. Sims is an active member of her community and is part of several philanthropic endeavors in the area including United Way of Northeast Arkansas (Day of Caring event), KAIT’s Gr8 Acts of Kindness initiative, and the educational efforts of First Community Bank’s Piggy Bank and Teach Children to Save programs.
First Community Bank’s lobby is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The drive-thru is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays. In addition to the Southwest Drive location, First Community Bank also has three other Jonesboro locations: 1617 S. Caraway Road, 222 E. Washington Avenue, and a mortgage office at 1823 Grant Avenue.
