First Community Bank is proud to welcome back Joe Smith as vice president, commercial deposits officer. Smith will be responsible for bringing in new commercial deposit accounts and assisting in managing existing accounts across the Searcy, Cabot, Batesville, Bald Knob, and Beebe markets. He will work closely with the treasury management team, lenders, and clients to ensure all aspects of commercial banking run smoothly.
“It truly feels like I have returned home coming back to First Community Bank,” said Smith. “From the moment I walked back through the doors, I was welcomed with open arms, and it was like I never left. I’m so grateful to serve our communities again, and I look forward to delivering the red-carpet customer service our bank is known for.”
Smith has been in banking for nine years, spending the majority of his career at First Community Bank. He holds a degree in business management with a minor in marketing from Arkansas State University and is a 2022 graduate of the Barrett School of Banking. Active in the community, Smith has long been involved with Special Olympics, organizing the Polar Plunge fundraiser and serving as a coach since high school.
Outside of work, Smith enjoys fishing with his two sons, Roman and Ryker, competing in bowling tournaments, and following the Dallas Cowboys with his family. His fiancée, Tesla, recently joined the First Community Bank mortgage team.

Smith is based at the bank’s Searcy Main location at 2401 W. Beebe Capps Expressway where the lobby hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., drive-through hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday hours are from 8:00 a.m. to noon. With the convenience of the customer in mind, First Community Bank has additional Searcy locations at 800 East Beebe Capps Expressway and 2801 East Race Street.
