First Community Bank has announced that Dena Wood has joined the bank as business development officer, serving the Mountain Home area.

Wood will focus on building and strengthening relationships throughout the community, identifying local needs, and helping develop solutions that support area nonprofits, events, and organizations. Her role includes coordinating charitable contributions, event sponsorships, and branch involvement efforts that reinvest the bank’s success back into the community.

“I am thrilled and honored to be on board with such a positive, welcoming crew here at First Community Bank,” Wood said. “The culture and morale have been incredibly positive, and I am excited to be part of this bank family and ready to hit the ground running with a productive, shining team.”

Wood brings 17 years of banking experience to First Community Bank, beginning her career in 2008 as a part-time teller and advancing through a variety of retail operations roles. Most recently, she served as a branch manager overseeing dual offices for the past five years, where she was deeply involved in community engagement and leadership initiatives, including participation on a culture team.

“Dena brings a strong background in banking and an exceptional passion for community involvement,” said Steve Dunn, community president for First Community Bank in Mountain Home. “Her experience, leadership, and genuine commitment to serving others make her a tremendous addition to our Mountain Home team and the communities we serve.”

Deeply rooted in Mountain Home, Wood is active across several local organizations. She serves as vice president of the Serenity Board of Directors, is a board member of the Kiwanis Club, and acts as the student-led advisor for the local high school Key Club. She also serves as an ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce and will participate in the 2026 Leadership Program.

Wood moved to Mountain Home in 2005 and is the mother of two sons, Tanner and Paxton. Outside of work, she enjoys supporting her sons at their school and athletic events, traveling, shopping, and following sports, maintaining her lifelong love for the Iowa Hawkeyes while embracing her growing Razorback pride.

The First Community Bank Mountain Home branch at 310 Highway 62 East is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with drive-through services available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays, and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
