FIRST COMMUNITY BANK ANNOUNCES RECENT PROMOTIONS

First Community Bank has announced promotions in a number of departments and branches of the organization, according to Boris Dover, the organization’s president and chief operating officer. 


“We are proud to recognize several of our employees that have made significant contributions toward the growth of the bank,” said Dover. “With their strategic focus and ability to drive results, each will play an integral role in our continued success.”


Renee Rutherford has been promoted to vice president, adventure first travel club director. Based in the Southwest Drive branch of First Community Bank, Renee joined the team in 2014. She has been in banking for 29 years. In her role, Renee curates an inviting banking atmosphere as she coordinates fun events and travel opportunities to existing as well as potential customers.  Her goal is to market bank products while developing in-depth customer relationships inside and outside the banking environment.  


Shannon Price has been promoted to vice president, assistant manager appraisal review. Shannon joined the bank in 2016 and has over seven years of experience in the banking and real estate industries. In her role she reviews appraisals for residential and commercial properties, coordinates with underwriters, and assists with training. 


Tammy Holt has been promoted to vice president and branch operations in Mountain Home. She has been at First Community Bank since 2019 and has over 31 years of banking experience. In her role, Tammy is responsible for day-to-day operations of the branch.


Deborah Richardson has been promoted to vice president, consumer digital banking. With 14 years of experience in the banking industry, she is also a graduate of the Barret School of Banking. In her new role Deborah will be responsible for the consumer side of the bank’s digital banking suite of products while continuing to add new digital products with the expansion of the department.


Carmen Rosson has been promoted to vice president, consumer lending in Mountain Home. She has been at First Community Bank since 2017 and has 23 years of banking experience. Carmen is a graduate of the Arkansas Bankers Association Basic Lending School and Barret School of Banking, Commercial Lending Academy. In her role, Carmen helps customers meet their financial goals by providing a wide variety of loan needs ranging from consumer, commercial, residential and agricultural loans.  


Andrew Lane has been promoted to vice president, credit analyst. He joined First Community Bank in 2013 and has worked in the banking industry for over 13 years with experience ranging from data processing, teller, loan documentation, credit analysis and more. Andrew recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Barret School of Banking. In his current role, Andrew helps to coordinate credit analysis work for the credit analysts across all markets. He also manages all financial exception processing and other financial reporting for commercial loan customers. 


Michele Melton has been promoted to vice president, internal auditor. She joined the bank in 2018 as an assistant internal auditor. Michele has been in the banking industry for 18 years with six years of experience in the audit and compliance arena. She is a certified community bank internal auditor through ICBA. Michele will supervise employees within the internal audit function and help ensure that the department performs objective, independent assessments of the effectiveness of the banks internal controls and regulatory requirements as the audit department continues to grow.


Gabe Roberts has been promoted to vice president, loan officer. He Joined First Community Bank in 2016 and is a recent graduate of the Barret School of Banking, commercial lending academy. Gabe was also recently recognized by Arkansas Money & Politics with the Future 50 for 2021 group. This recognition comes from AMP readers as business, political, and cultural leaders in Arkansas are acknowledged as being poised to do big things in their respective fields.  


Amy Tuggle has been promoted to vice president, secondary mortgage regional manager in Searcy. She has more than 15 years of experience in the banking industry. In her role, Amy will oversee the operations of mortgage loans in the Searcy area.


Jelena Veteto has been promoted to vice president, secondary mortgage regional manager. She joined the bank in 2008 and has more than 36 years of banking experience. Jelena has worked in all aspects of lending as a commercial loan assistant, before moving to mortgage in 2002 where she worked in processing, closing/accounting and originating loans. In that time the mortgage department in Jonesboro has grown from two employees to seven employees. Jelena is responsible for helping the Northeast Arkansas region with mortgage/sales as First Community Bank expands their footprint.


Dennese Lewis has been promoted to assistant vice president, branch operations in Neosho, Missouri. She has 16 years of experience in the banking industry. Dennese has previous experience in the new accounts, teller, and consumer lending departments as well as holds a life insurance producer license. In her role, Dennese will work with each Missouri branch to achieve consistent processing of customer transactions and new accounts. Additionally, she also serves as a trainer for new accounts representatives and tellers in the region.  


Lauren Bynum has been promoted to assistant vice president, BSA specialist. She joined First Community Bank in 2016 and has been working in compliance since 2013. In her role, Lauren will assist operational areas, as assigned by the BSA officer, in applying industry rules, standards and regulations to day-to-day conduct and monitoring levels of observance by the operational area, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.


David Daniel, better known by all as Coach D from his past as a longtime coach and athletic director, has been promoted to assistant vice president, business development officer. He joined the First Community Bank team in 2019 and serves as an ambassador for the bank. He has a continued presence locally through his involvement with the Great Acts of Kindness Award, the Officer of the Month 10:8 Award, and statewide with the Hooten’s First Community Bank Scholar Athlete Award for football.  


Kembralyn Redman has been named assistant vice president, business development officer. She has five years of banking experience and 14 years of experience in the advertising industry. She joined First Community Bank in 2016 and will continue her roles as a merchant services representative, community events coordinator, and more. 


Joe Smith has been promoted to assistant vice president, commercial digital banking. He has completed his second year with the Barret School of Banking and has 10 years of experience in customer service training. In his new role Joe will work alongside the electronic banking team in an effort to assist customers with cash management and online banking solutions. 


Samantha Buie has been promoted to assistant vice president, compliance specialist. She joined the bank in 2020 and has nine years of banking experience. In her role, Samantha completes compliance related reviews and monitoring reports in various areas to ensure the bank is adhering to banking regulations. 


Linda Crabtree has been promoted to assistant vice president, compliance specialist in Cabot. She has been at First Community Bank since 2020 and has over 36 years of banking experience. Linda is a graduate of the Oklahoma State University School of Banking. Previously Linda has served in multiple facets of bank operations with the past 23 years focused in the compliance area. In her role, Linda is responsible for monitoring compliance with HMDA and CRA related loans.


Jordy Rubio-Leal has been promoted to assistant vice president, credit analyst. He was hired in October 2018. Jordy prepares cash flow analysis for commercial lenders, supports the dealer direct program with analysis, and prepares various monthly and annual reports/reviews.


Nikki Smith has been promoted to assistant vice president, credit analyst in Harrison. Even though she just recently joined the bank in 2021, Nikki has more than six years in the banking industry and spent the prior five years in the accounting industry. In her role, she is responsible for working with the Missouri, Mountain Home and Harrison branches to assess the credit qualifications for personal and commercial interests. 


Cortney Ramos has been promoted to assistant vice president, customer care center manager. She started with First Community Bank as an intern in 2012, but became a full-time employee in 2014. She has seven years of customer service/customer care center experience. 


Kayti Williams has been promoted to assistant vice president, dealer direct loan officer. Kayti has been in finance since 2016, and currently assists in the oversight of all processes of the dealer direct program. In her role, she is pioneering new processes to streamline program operations. 


Jeffery McDonald has been promoted to assistant vice president, dealer national sales representative for dealer direct, a lending division of the bank that specializes in nationwide financing for power sports and outdoor power equipment. 


Karen Bates has been promoted to assistant vice president, escrow loan specialist. Karen joined First Community Bank in 2010. She ensures that mortgage transactions are carried out correctly for both the homebuyer and home seller.


Kimberly Griffis has been promoted to assistant vice president, funding and dealer direct loan support. Kimberly joined the bank in 2016 and currently oversees the receipt and review of funding documents from dealers for the duration of the loan. Additionally, she trains and oversees the funding in the dealer program.  


Cassie Bradley has been promoted to assistant vice president, head teller at the banks Cave City branch. She has more than 10 years of banking experience. In her role, Cassie oversees all teller functions and provides support to each employee. 


Susan Sexson, a veteran employee of First Community Bank, has been promoted to assistant vice president, head teller at the bank’s Goodman, Missouri location. A McDonald native, Susan has forty-one years of experience in the banking industry. Originally, she started with Goodman State Bank in 1979 and came over to First Community Bank when Goodman State Bank was acquired. 


Patty Smith has been promoted to assistant vice president, IRA coordinator. With nearly 13 years of experience, Patty has completed professional development training with Wolters Kluwer and Sunwest Training Corp. In her role, Patty services the bank’s IRA and HSA portfolios in a manner that ensures complete accuracy in documentation and IRS tax reporting while also training and corresponding with our new accounts customer service representatives concerning tax advantaged account offerings.


Bill Oliva has been promoted to assistant vice president, loan officer. He came to First Community Bank as a senior at Batesville High School participating in JAG, a job placement program, where he began in the maintenance department in 2007 before officially joining the bank in 2008. Bill has 13 years of banking experience and will be a graduate of the Barret School of Banking in 2023. He has served the bank in various roles including marketing, insurance, and Hispanic outreach officer. In his current role, Bill works diligently to provide quality banking services to the underserved communities in the area.   


Heath Wilcox has been promoted to assistant vice president, loan officer. He Joined First Community Bank in 2016 and is currently enrolled as a freshmen at the Barret Graduate School of Banking in Memphis. In his role, Heath assists customers with all of their commercial and consumer lending needs.


Jordan Perry has been promoted to assistant vice president, loan officer and credit analyst. Jordan joined the bank in 2016 and is a graduate of the Barret School of Banking. In his role, Jordan will provide lending needs to the Searcy and surrounding markets and continued analysis and underwriting of commercial and consumer loans for the Searcy region.


Tyler Presser was promoted to assistant vice president, loan systems analyst. He joined the bank in 2018 and is currently working to attain his bachelor’s in finance. He has already earned his bachelor’s in business administration. In his role, Tyler will provide support for the bank loan systems including assisting in generating the bank’s loan portfolio reporting.   


Micah Bradley has been promoted to assistant vice president, secondary mortgage loan specialist in Searcy. In her role, Micah will act as a support to multiple mortgage loan officers and perform various support duties pertinent to meeting the needs of our customers while focusing on the development of new business. 


Connie Barnett has been promoted to assistant vice president, trust and wealth management operations specialist. Connie has been working at First Community Bank since 2015. She came to the bank with over 25 years of experience in accounting. Connie will be attending Securities Operation Specialist School at Cannon Financial Institute in Notre Dame later this month.


Lisha Foust has been promoted to vice president, operations manager for Community Insurance Professionals in Batesville. She has been in the insurance industry for 21 years and holds a certified professional insurance agent designation. Starting in 2010, she has served the bank in various roles including, bookkeeping, personal lines production, and supervising personal lines personnel. In her role, Lisha oversees and directs the operations functions of the insurance agency, including monitoring the day-to-day processes and long-term agency goals.
                      
J.D. Payne has been promoted to vice president, regional manager with Community Insurance Professionals. He previously owned and operated an independent insurance agency, Southern Family Insurance, for eight years prior to joining CIP. In his new role, J.D. will work to continue to grow business in the Jonesboro market and beyond.
