First Community Bank has opened its Batesville operationscenter at 1401 Harrison Street, beside the financial institution’s main bank. Agrand opening for their new facility will take place on Tuesday, November 16from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 4:30p.m. Immediately following the ribbon cutting, heavy hors d’oeuvres and toursof the facility will be provided.
While supplies last, attendees of the event will receive afree keepsake paperweight featuring an architectural rendering of theoperations center. In addition, First Community will provide copies of a customphoto book featuring pictures from area photographers. The photos weresubmissions from a recent photography contest where photos were selected basedon photographic appeal and relevance to Batesville and surrounding areas. Firstplace winners received $200, and second place winners received $100 for eachphoto chosen.
The artwork that will be featured in the photo books hasalso been selected for the interior décor of the bank. Artists include: VicenteAlamos, David Birmingham, Kris Caraway, Joshua Carlson, Kyle Christopher, KelliClark, Kali Combs, Glenn Edwards, Chad Graves, Julie Graves, Hunter Hall,Brittney Harris, Tammy Hix, Travis Hon, James Lay, Laura Morris, Bryce Paxson,James Rossetti, Kristy Shockley, Shelby Simpson, Mike Smith, Keith Sturch, GenaTate, Misty Wilson, and Mike West. Also, featured in the children’s rooms are amural painted by Kathryn Cole and canvases painted by Sophia and Jayla Cole.
Flynco, Inc., of Little Rock, was the contractor for theproject in addition to several local subcontractors. The three-story operationscenter is approximately 28,809 sq. ft. and is connected to the main bank by a170 ft. sky bridge over 14th Street. The building complex provides space for125 employees.
