First Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Milum to senior vice president, commercial lending and non-interest income.

In this expanded role, Milum will provide leadership and strategic direction across several key areas of the bank’s non-interest income initiatives, including secondary mortgage lending, insurance and treasury management. He will also continue to support the bank’s commercial and real estate lending efforts.

“I’m honored for the opportunity to serve in this role and to continue working alongside such a talented team,” said Milum. “First Community Bank has a strong foundation built on relationships and service, and I’m excited to help further strengthen our non-interest income lines while continuing to support our customers and communities.”

Milum has been in banking since 2015 and has built a strong reputation for leadership and service. Throughout his career, he has been recognized with several honors, including the Arkansas Bankers Association’s Bill Holmes Leadership Award, which highlights emerging leaders making a meaningful impact in the banking industry and their communities.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Milum serves in the Arkansas Army National Guard. In 2023, he deployed to the Middle East for 12 months in support of Operation Spartan Shield, with the 2nd Battalion, 153rd Infantry Regiment, 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.  His military service has also earned him multiple recognitions, including the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award and the Theodore Roosevelt Leadership Award for Company Grade Officers. Milum and his wife, Kaylea, have three children, Olivia, Luke and Liam, and reside in Batesville.

“Chris has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of our organization,” said Boris Dover, president and chief operating officer of First Community Bank. “His ability to connect our lending and non-interest income strategies will be instrumental as we continue to grow and diversify our services. We are confident he will excel in this role and continue to make a meaningful impact across our bank.”
