FIRST COMMUNITY BANK PROMOTES PEARCE

First Community Bank has announced the promotion of Veronica Pearce to senior vice president, controller.

In her role, Pearce oversees the bank’s daily financial operations, including the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintenance of internal controls, and compliance with applicable banking regulations. She works closely with the bank’s leadership and accounting teams to support sound financial management as First Community Bank continues to grow.

“I’m grateful for this promotion and excited for the opportunity to serve as controller,” said Pearce. “I’m proud to be part of First Community Bank, and I look forward to continuing to grow professionally while contributing alongside such an outstanding team. It means a great deal to be part of an organization that has given me so many opportunities throughout my career.”

Jason Taylor, executive vice president, chief financial officer for First Community Bank, said Pearce’s experience and knowledge of the organization make her well suited for the leadership role.

“Veronica has been an important part of our financial team for many years, and her promotion is well deserved,” said Taylor. “She brings tremendous knowledge, attention to detail and a strong understanding of our financial operations to this position. As our organization continues to grow, having experienced leaders like Veronica in place is incredibly valuable, and I’m confident she will continue to make a positive impact on First Community Bank.”

Pearce has 18 years of banking experience, including 15 years with First Community Bank. During her tenure with the financial institution, she has gained extensive experience in banking and financial operations, building the knowledge and expertise that have prepared her for her new role.

Pearce earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Arkansas State University and is a graduate of the Paul W. Barret, Jr. Graduate School of Banking.

Outside of work, Pearce enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Britt, have two daughters, Jaysa and Jocelyn.
