First Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Laura Sandy to senior vice president, new accounts operations.
In her role, Sandy oversees the bank’s new accounts operations, helping ensure efficient account opening processes and exceptional service for customers across First Community Bank’s footprint. Her leadership and operational expertise play an important role in supporting the bank’s retail banking teams and maintaining a consistent, high-quality customer experience.
“I am incredibly grateful for this promotion and for the trust First Community Bank has placed in me throughout my career,” Sandy said. “It has been a privilege to grow alongside this organization, and I look forward to continuing to support our employees, serve our customers, and contribute to the bank’s ongoing success.”
Sandy joined First Community Bank in 2007 and has dedicated 19 years to serving the organization. Throughout her tenure, she has built a reputation for her knowledge, attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.

Outside of work, Sandy enjoys gardening and caring for the many animals on her family farm. She and her husband, Steve, have been together for 23 years. She is also a proud aunt to one niece, Karis, and three nephews, Levi, Bo, and Lane, whom she treasures and enjoys spending time with whenever she can.
