First Community Bank has announced the promotion of Josh Taylor to vice president, construction loan administration manager. In his expanded leadership role, Taylor oversees the bank’s centralized Construction Loan Administration Department and a seven-member team supporting construction lending throughout First Community Bank’s markets in Arkansas and Missouri.
Taylor leads the department’s construction draw administration, inspections, project and collateral monitoring, risk analysis, pipeline coordination, and the systems, technology, and controls that support the bank’s construction lending process. The centralized department currently administers approximately 900 to 1,000 construction draws each month.
“When I moved into construction loan monitoring in 2019, I saw an opportunity to develop a more centralized and consistent approach that could grow with the bank,” Taylor said. “Seven years later, getting to lead the department that grew from that effort is especially meaningful. I’m grateful to First Community Bank for the trust it has placed in me throughout my career, and I’m proud of what we’ve built, particularly the people behind it. I look forward to continuing to develop our team, processes, and technology as First Community Bank grows.”
Taylor has more than 13 years of continuous full-time service with First Community Bank, in addition to internships with the bank in 2003 and 2005. He began his full-time banking career in Special Assets in 2013 before transitioning into construction loan monitoring in 2019. Since that time, Taylor has played an integral role in developing the processes, controls, technology, and team that ultimately evolved into the bank’s centralized Construction Loan Administration Department. He was promoted to assistant vice president in 2019 and vice president in 2024.
“Josh has been instrumental in developing our construction loan administration function into the centralized, specialized department it is today,” said Jonathan Cole, senior vice president, director of appraisal services for First Community Bank. “His knowledge of construction lending, attention to risk management, and commitment to building strong processes have helped create greater consistency and efficiency across our organization. Just as importantly, Josh has developed a talented team that supports our lenders and customers throughout the bank. We are proud of his continued growth and look forward to his leadership as this area continues to evolve.”
Taylor attended the University of Central Arkansas. He and his wife, Jessica, recently moved to Conway, where they live with their two children. Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with his family, grilling, football, and traveling, and he looks forward to becoming increasingly involved in the Conway community.
