The countdown is on as finalists have officially been selected for the inaugural Hands on a Hyundai endurance competition, set to debut during Toad Suck Daze. Community members are encouraged to follow along and cheer on their favorites as the excitement builds toward event day.

Hosted by First Community Bank in partnership with Chris Crain Hyundai and the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce, Hands on a Hyundai brings a fresh take on a beloved festival tradition. The competition challenges participants to keep one hand on a vehicle, with the last contestant standing winning the grand prize.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from the community,” said Grant Gordy, community president for First Community Bank in Conway. “Gordy said this event reflects the excitement and pride people have for Toad Suck Daze, and we’re proud to help bring that energy back in a meaningful way.”

The following contestants have been selected to compete:

Joe Andrews of Conway
Jason Beck of Maumelle
Tyler Berrier of Cabot

The competition will begin at 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, in downtown Conway and will continue until a winner is determined. Festivalgoers are invited to attend, support contestants, and experience the excitement firsthand throughout the weekend.

“This event is about bringing people together,” Gordy said. “We’re looking forward to seeing the community rally behind these contestants and create lasting memories during one of Conway’s most anticipated weekends of the year.”

Hands on a Hyundai will take place during Toad Suck Daze, scheduled for May 1–3, 2026. The winner will drive away with a 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz, with additional cash prizes awarded to top finishers.
