First Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Mary Henderson to senior vice president, director of loan review.

In her new role, Henderson is responsible for leading the bank’s loan review function and overseeing the independent evaluation of the bank’s loan portfolio. She works closely with lending and risk management teams across First Community Bank’s footprint to help ensure loans are appropriately evaluated and remain consistent with established bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

As director of loan review, Henderson provides leadership and direction to the loan review team while helping identify and assess credit risk throughout the organization. Her role also includes monitoring the overall quality of the loan portfolio and providing insight that supports sound lending practices and the bank’s continued commitment to responsible growth.

Henderson has built an extensive career in banking spanning nearly four decades, with more than 15 years of experience specifically in loan review. Her depth of knowledge in credit administration and loan review, combined with her understanding of First Community Bank’s lending practices and markets, has made her a valuable resource to lenders and leadership throughout the organization.

“I am very thankful that I get to work with such an amazing group of people every day,” Henderson said. “I am humbled and thankful beyond measure for the opportunities that First Community Bank provides.”

Henderson earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from Lyon College. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to strengthening her knowledge of the banking industry and supporting the teams she works alongside. Her promotion reflects both her professional experience and her continued contributions to First Community Bank’s loan review and risk management efforts.

“Mary brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to this role, along with a strong understanding of our organization and the communities we serve,” said Michelle Reesor, executive vice president, operations and risk for First Community Bank. “She has earned the trust and respect of our team through her professionalism, sound judgment, and commitment to doing things the right way. I am confident that her leadership will continue to strengthen our loan review function as First Community Bank grows.”

Henderson and her husband, Jerry, have four children and six grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and tackling home improvement projects.
