First Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of John Householder to senior vice president, chief risk officer.
In his role, Householder leads the bank’s enterprise risk management program, overseeing the identification, assessment and mitigation of risk across the organization. He works closely with executive leadership to strengthen the bank’s risk management framework, support regulatory compliance and promote strategic initiatives that contribute to First Community Bank’s continued growth and long-term success.

I look forward to continuing to build on that foundation while helping ensure the bank remains well-positioned for future growth.”
Householder joined First Community Bank in 2025 following more than 28 years with the Arkansas State Bank Department, First Community Bank’s chartering agency. During his regulatory career, he oversaw both community and regional bank supervision, including institutions engaged in the Banking-as-a-Service ecosystem. He also contributed to national policy development through his participation on a joint agency task force under the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council.
Householder earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Williams Baptist College and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colorado. He also holds certifications as a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Examinations Manager.
He is active in the community as vice chairman of the Craighead County Solid Waste Management District and Authority and serves in student and college ministries at Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Householder is also a longtime supporter of Susan G. Komen and St. Jude fundraising events and, along with his wife, Deana, is an active supporter of Williams Baptist University. The couple has been married for more than 30 years and has two sons, Easton and Aaden, and a granddaughter, Savvy. Outside of work, Householder enjoys running, hiking and participating in historical, faith-based and international mission travel.
