First Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Dennese Lewis to senior vice president, branch operations.
In her new role, Lewis will continue overseeing branch operations and supporting the growth of First Community Bank’s Missouri market, which includes Joplin, Jane, Goodman, and two Neosho locations. She is committed to supporting branch teams, building strong relationships, and meeting the needs of the communities the bank serves.

When you put others first, everyone succeeds. I will continue to grow and help others in any way that I can. It means so much to know others see those same qualities in me.”
Lewis began her banking career as a teller in February 1995 after spending more than nine years as a regional cash office manager for Walmart. During her 31 years in banking, she has served in a variety of leadership roles, including consumer and commercial lender, new accounts representative, regional new account trainer, and branch manager. Her extensive experience and passion for developing others have made her a respected leader and mentor throughout the organization.

She holds an associate degree with studies in marketing, business management, and fashion design. Lewis also holds a life insurance producer license and is a commissioned notary public.
Outside of work, Lewis is actively involved in Relay for Life, local chamber events, and her church. She enjoys gardening, tending to her flowers, and creating handmade crafts and gifts for others. She and her husband, Danny, have three children and eight grandsons.
