First Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Brandt McDonald to senior vice president, retail banking operations and training.

In his expanded role, McDonald supports all markets across the bank’s footprint by overseeing the implementation and enhancement of retail banking products while leading training initiatives that prepare employees to deliver exceptional customer service. He coordinates bank-wide educational programs, oversees the training of new account representatives in the Batesville region, and partners with regional trainers throughout Arkansas and Missouri to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction and service standards across the organization.

“Brandt has a unique ability to connect with people and create learning experiences that build both knowledge and confidence,” said Tammy Poole, senior vice president, retail banking. “His commitment to developing our employees and supporting our retail teams across every market has strengthened our organization in countless ways. This promotion is a reflection of the leadership, professionalism and passion he brings to First Community Bank every day.”

“This promotion feels like confirmation that I’m in the right seat with the bank and that my work has been noticed and is making a difference,” McDonald said. “I look forward to continuing to strengthen our training program within the new accounts department and supporting bank-wide initiatives however I am able.”

McDonald brings 12 years of banking experience to his new role. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for creating engaging and effective learning experiences that empower employees and strengthen customer service. He holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with a communications emphasis from Williams Baptist University and graduated summa cum laude from the Barret Graduate School of Banking, further enhancing his expertise in community banking and leadership.

Outside of the bank, McDonald is an active member of the Batesville Community Theatre, where he directs productions, performs on stage and assists with social media initiatives. An avid reader, he also enjoys traveling with family and friends, especially trips to Universal Studios and Disney.
