First Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of America Quintero to assistant vice president, diversity outreach officer.
In her new role, Quintero will lead diversity outreach initiatives throughout Central Arkansas by participating in community events, developing new relationships and expanding opportunities for financial education. She is dedicated to strengthening connections with diverse communities while helping individuals and families access valuable banking resources and financial solutions.
“This promotion is more than a career milestone; it’s an opportunity to make a lasting difference,” Quintero said. “My commitment to building genuine relationships, investing in people and serving the community with purpose will help create opportunities for individuals and families to succeed. I look forward to continuing to grow the bank by serving our communities with heart, dedication and inclusion.”
Quintero began her banking career with First Community Bank in January 2022. Throughout her career, she has embraced opportunities to grow professionally while building meaningful relationships across the communities she serves. She credits Grant Gordy, community president, for believing in her potential as she entered the banking industry, Janet McPhate, vice president, branch manager, for her mentorship and support, and Bill Oliva, senior vice president, commercial lending and diversity outreach director, for creating the opportunity to transition into her new role.
She proudly represents First Community Bank at community events including the annual Hispanic Heritage Festival (El Grito) at Laurel Park and the Paloma Community Services Annual Scholarship Gala in Conway. Through these events, she promotes financial education, celebrates cultural diversity and supports initiatives that help empower future generations.
Quintero is a graduate of Clinton High School and earned her Certified Dental Assistant and CPR certifications from Little Rock Dental Assisting Academy. She is also a graduate of the Conway Area Leadership Institute and a participant in First Community Bank’s Women’s Mentoring Program.
“America has a genuine passion for serving others and building relationships that strengthen our communities,” said Oliva. “She brings energy, authenticity and compassion to everything she does. Her ability to connect with people from all backgrounds makes her an outstanding ambassador for First Community Bank, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact she will continue to make in this new role.”
Outside of work, Quintero enjoys spending time with her fiancée and their three children, Brianna, Bianca and Brayn. Much of her free time is spent cheering them on as a proud soccer mom. She remains deeply inspired by the legacy of her late mother, whose faith, strength and compassion continue to guide both her personal life and her commitment to helping others achieve their dreams.
