First Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Rebekah Sandridge to senior vice president, reconciliation manager.
In her new role, Sandridge oversees the reconciliation of the bank’s cash and asset accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of general ledger and bank account reconciliations that support the bank’s operations across its footprint. Her extensive operational knowledge, attention to detail and commitment to excellence have made her an invaluable member of the First Community Bank team.
With nearly 21 years of banking experience, Sandridge has become a respected leader within the bank’s operations division. Through her collaborative leadership style, strong work ethic and dedication to continuous improvement, she has earned the trust and respect of colleagues throughout the organization.
Banking has been part of Sandridge’s life from an early age. She is the daughter of Troy Henley, one of First Community Bank’s original employees who helped establish the bank in 1997, and credits both her father and longtime mentor Judy Swaim with helping shape her career. Over the past two decades, however, Sandridge has established herself as a trusted leader through her own dedication, expertise and commitment to the bank’s continued success.
“I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and the confidence First Community Bank has placed in me,” Sandridge said. “I was blessed to grow up around banking, learning from my dad and from Judy Swaim, who has been an incredible mentor throughout my career. Their guidance has helped shape who I am as a leader, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to continue growing with an organization and team that feels like family.”
Judy Swaim, senior vice president and chief operations officer, said Sandridge’s promotion reflects the leadership and professionalism she has consistently demonstrated throughout her career.
“Rebekah has an exceptional understanding of our operations and leads with integrity, humility and a genuine desire to help others succeed,” Swaim said. “She approaches every challenge with professionalism and dedication, and she has earned the respect of teammates across our organization. I am proud of all she has accomplished and excited to see her continue to grow in this well-deserved leadership role.”
Outside of work, Sandridge enjoys spending time with her large family, reading, relaxing at the beach and spending quiet evenings outdoors.
